Hello Internet,
Seven years and over 800 reviews ago, I started Out of Eight PC Game Reviews so that I could talk about the wonderful world of PC gaming (while getting those games for free). Due to increasing time constraints that have limited my ability to devote a fair amount of time to written evaluations, I have decided to discontinue writing game reviews. I feel that I would be doing a disservice to the gaming audience in continuing to pen reviews while not being able to invest enough time into completely evaluating the products at hand. I have certainly enjoyed my time playing and writing about games, but when something that is essentially volunteer work starts to become stressful, it's time to relax. I have always looked forward to playing odd, interesting games the PC has to offer, indie or unknown titles that offer something different and are overlooked by the larger gaming websites.

All is not lost, however: I will still disseminate interesting news through my Twitter feed, and I also plan to continue to post video impressions through my YouTube channel (I will provide links to the videos through this site). I will also not adhere to a set schedule, but instead will post new content as it is provided by developers and publishers who would still like to have video promotion of their game without a full-fledged written review follow-up. This method might actually not diminish the frequency of content since I won't have to write my long, drawn-out reviews and instead will rely on quicker impressions. I'm still flabbergasted that 1,500 people a day want to read what I have written, and I sincerely thank you very much for spending your time perusing my evaluations, and I hope my written reviews were helpful in making your gaming decisions.
